Serial novels really hit their stride in the mid to late 1800’s. That’s when writers like Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities), Alexander Dumas (The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers), Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes) and others were publishing most of their stories one episode at a time in literary magazines. The books could be as long as they had to be to tell the story, and these works are considered some of the greatest of all time.

With today’s technology, there’s no reason why a story can’t keep going after 200 pages. We don’t need to carry a physical paper book around in our pockets anymore, we have PDA’s! That’s why Biggs Books has decided to write in the Serial format. Utilizing the internet, modern technology, and streamlining things for our modern way of life, you can buy as much of our stories or as little as you want. The first Episode of every Series is free, so you can get a taste for the story to see if you like it.

A good book is the ultimate escape from reality.
